Mike + Eliza

Published by Bryan under Just Married!, Wedding

Here are the photos of Mike and Eliza, the wedding that i mentioned earlier in my blog post <I said “Hi, I saw your work”> Hope you’ll like these photographs. I’ll put up the slideshow in my next post, do watch out for it. Happy Halloween!!!

I kicked things off from Mike’s. The most memorable first words from him was “Hey Bryan, help yourself with the Coke in the fridge.”

This is the first time I went with the groom to get the car dolled up.

For the father-in-law…

When it started pouring at 3.30pm, Mike mentioned that they have plan B; which was unnecessary. The weather cleared!!!

While the lil boys ran the aisle, the men will walk with their missuses.

I love the expressions in this photograph…

Isn’t she beautiful? Mike is a lucky man…

Melissa Tham and Band belted really nice songs for this wedding.

One of my favorite shots for this wedding.

Ahh Eliza gave me 3 of these cupcakes from Canele. So delicious, I shared 1 blueberry cupcake with Jean and had the other 2 to myself. The other flavor is chocolate and it’s really delicious…Taittinger is one of the best of champagnes.

This was the part where everyone was enjoying the pre-wedding slideshow done by jOhO. Really brilliant work from him.

This is indeed one of the best wedding that I’ve attended. Thank you for giving me the chance to document your very beautiful and touching wedding. God bless you both, Mike and Eliza. Hope you’ll enjoy your honeymoon in Prague

I said “Hi, I saw your work”

Published by Bryan under Just Married!, My Life, Paintball, Wedding

The wedding I shot over last Saturday was one of the best wedding I ever attended. The wedding started for me only in the afternoon at the groom’s. While on the way to the collect the corsages, it began pouring, but stopped the moment it cooled down the sheltering weather. It’s also the first time I joined a groom to get his Carrera S decorated.

The wedding was held at Burkill Hall, with great food from Les Amis and wonderful cute little wedding cupcakes from Canele. The best thing that happened was that I got to meet my idol whose work I’ve looked highly upon ever since I started photography. It was such a pleasure. And photos will come soon.

Had to wake up early on Sunday morning for a game of paintball at Red Dynasty Paintball Park. Each of us had 250 rounds of paintball, 6 in a team. We won 1 out of 5 game. Adrenaline on the highway and the damage is 5 big bruises on my arms and legs. I can’t wait for my bruises to heal to go for another round of paintball fun!

David + Amelia

Published by Bryan under Just Married!, Wedding

A very expressive couple. David and Amelia really enjoyed their wedding as I saw them do a little dance while waiting for their march in. They even printed a life size cut-out of themselves to decorate the cocktail reception area. This is one wedding that I will never forget all because of a little incident that happened in the morning. The hand bouquet wilted. But David managed to get a replacement in time to pick his beautiful bride Amelia.

If you ask me

Published by Bryan under Wedding, Writings

To all,

It is blessing to attend the wedding of so many couples, be immersed in their affair of love, family ties and friendship.

Starting from the gate crashing where the groom went against all odds to get to the bride, to the cup of Chinese tea, which taste especially sweet to their parents and friends who forgo the second part of the dinner reception, to help out in photo taking.

A wedding is never about just two people getting married. It is through their love where two unrelated families become closer, often two different circles of friends becoming one. And sometimes a new relationship is formed through this event.

The best part of my job is being able to be there right from the very stage of dressing up, to the finale of thank you and goodbye. The whole day affair of therapeutic love essence often keeps me happy for the next few days while post-processing the images documented by me.

Each shutter captures a photograph and each photograph means something more than the eyes can see. That is feelings, belonging to everyone present, memories for everyone to keep and stories for all to tell.

Wedding photography is as important as the rock on the band, the details of the gown and the icing on the cake. If you ask me to list the top 3 most important things in a wedding, I would say the top spot goes to the ring, second goes to photography and third goes to the gown. These are the 3 elements that I would never ever compromise.

“Wow, that is a pretty big rock”, “Wow, your wedding photos are so nice, looks so romantic.” “Wow, you look so gorgeous in this gown. Where is it from? ”. Oblivious to all, often these are the three elements that people compliment the most.

The ring is a binding token to the love that we share, a good wedding photographer is the divinity of memories and nothing less than a beautiful gown that will match my love of a lifetime. I simply want her to look beautifully awesome on our wedding as much as everyday.

While I share with you my notion, do take my words with a pinch of salt as perspectives may differ.

With warmest blessing,
Bryan Kit F.
