Yes we are suffering from blog lag after we came back from Paris. It was a really good trip. Its very comforting to have great people with you so far away from home. Its our first time there, Kelvin & Alwin from Lightedpixels and Jacqueline the awesome makeup artist showed us around in Paris.

The food was amazing, we have sandwiches & baguette for most of the breakfasts. Lunch we had delicious banana crepes with Nutella, ham & cheese crepes, the McDonald is different and really nice too. And the Amorini ice cream, heavenly!

On that one day it rained Kelvin brought us to this authentic french restaurant which serves really great food. We had deep fried frog legs, pan fried foie gras, escargots, and sip french red wine. It was a modest french restaurant, with a old rugged cottage settings; old dented pots and pans hung over our head. The hospitality of a young beautiful french waitress brought the whole experience up another notch.

Well not just for the food, we went to Paris for a shoot, with Samuel and Kristl. The weather turned chilly by the time they got to Paris, simply perfect for the shoot. A hint of autumn from the fallen leaves and the lovely sunshine of summer which Parisians will miss. We hope to go back there again next year with more couples and probably Venice as well.

It ended early on the second day of the shoot, we decided to walk back to our hotel. Jean and I happily started from Champs-Élysées, the most beautiful avenue in the world. Kind of regretted that at first, halfway walking, we sat down on the sidewalk and munch on the macaroons Sam & Kristl bought for us. Jean read the map and exclaimed, the exhibition of Henri Cartier-Bresson was around the corner. We were really inspired by the images from the father of journalistic style street photography. It was definitely one of the highlights of this trip.

On this 10-day trip, we visited many place in Paris, we tried as much as we could to walk the hidden streets, each time a new path we came upon, we discover more unique shops and food. Of course we did a considerable amount of shopping, and tried as much as we could to bring back a piece of Paris for our dearests. If anyone we’ve missed out this time, we’ll make it up the next time when our luggage is not labeled HEAVY (50kg) at the airport.

Sorry for the lack of update over here. Its been a roller coaster ride for the past month. Things are getting really busy on our side. And we are thankful to have really nice and patient clients who give us ample time to deliver their photos.

Back to the topic. Yes we have changed out plans from Bali to Paris. We’ll be away from the 17th to 27th of August for a pre-wedding shoot.
